Lukah’s Kindling
After school Lukah goes to the firewood yard to pack bags of dry kindling for sale.
While Dad selects the driest wood and splits it, Lukah forages through the waste pile by the debarking machine for the driest little pieces of wood that have been ripped off the logs. A mix of these gets carefully packed by Lukah into sacks, ready for sale.
Lukah (7 years old) is saving up for a bigger motorbike. 100% of earnings from the kindling goes into his savings account. He’s rather motivated!
